Starfish Beach – Boca del Drago

One of the most famous and beautiful beaches on the main island of Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro is Starfish Beach.

The beach is located to the North West of the island.  This tropical beach is lined with palm trees and is a great beach option for families as the shallow crystal blue waters are ideal for kids to enjoy.  Large yellow/orange starfish call this beach home and can be spotted all along the beach.

Please take care not to touch them or lift them out of the water.

You can do a boat tour to Starfish beach which can include a visit to Bird Island when the seas are calm for between $25-30.

Or collect the bus which passes right by the house and will get you there in 30 minutes and costs $5 per person round trip

Or by yellow taxi which will collect you at the house for $30 round trip.

There are two restaurants at Bocas del Drago, the small village just before the beach.  Both restaurants prepare local Caribbean cuisine including fresh fish, chicken and meat dishes.
